06 Yamaha R6

Frist time rider joining the Houston ranks

Thought I would introduce myself. Finally bought my first bike, 06 Yamaha R6, just this Monday and so far I'm loving it. Been messing around on the road and a nice large school parking lot next to my house.

I'm on the NW side and looking forward to meeting and riding with some people.
I stoked for taking some classes and hopefully get good enough to do some track days eventually.

I know their is a meet and greet at 249 and Louetta. Can anyone tell me when the next one is?

Thanks, JR

You need to take the BRC (Awesome Cy or elsewhere) in order to get your M endorsement.

They don't check for it at the track, but the police sure do when you get pulled over.

Take the class, hit up our fine government DMV, come ride anytime.

There are M&G's all the time. Same with track days, pretty much every weekend.

the parade lap usually happens between 12-1,i dont think track official check if you have M license (i might be wrong), but i would highly suggest you to get the license before you start ridinging. (MSF class 150-180, ticket without license 250)

Yes, usually once or twice a month...(GSS, MSR, TWS (Texas World Speedway))

I guess all hold my horses and try to not get ahead of myself .

It's pretty cool that so many meets happen on a regular basis.
going to have to start using the calender on my phone more .

I'm looking forward to it all.
Looking forward to getting my first low side lay down over with too lol.

I would not be looking forward to crashing dude I lowsided my bike almost a year ago,and I am just starting to walk without aid in the past couple weeks (after 4 surgeries and one to go, and close to a month in the hospital total).

If I were you I would look forward to the msf course and some nice gear(which saved my skin and foot) before I started joining up with any ride

DONT be stupid, motorcycles are an load of fun but that will kill your if you cant disconnect your from your brain

^^^^ what he said^^^^

do not look forward to experience crash but always prepare for it

besides the M license, dont forget about gears!!!
make sure get some decent gears to protect the most expensive investment in you life
"yourself",

it is always better sweat than bleed

p.s get a pair of sliders, cuz you will drop your bike, if you dont already have it on
