Cool Best sound for the money???????

QUESTION!!!! I want to buy a slip on exhaust for my 2009 cbr1000rr. I do NOT care if it increases performance at all. The ONLY thing I am going for is a tough and loud sounding bike that looks good!!! While I dont want to just waist money buying a loud but piece of pipe, I'd also like to be as UNDER $500 as possible. For example, I think the Voodoo megaphone would look nice on my bike (my bike is all black)but is that a waist of money?????

Again, looking for options that are under $500, and I'm thinking answers / opinions may vary when you only consider sound, appearance, and price and don't worry about the performance side of things. Also wanting, if possible, to not have the same TBR and Yosh pipe that you see on every other bike in the parkin lot.

In addition, I'm now looking for pipes for a 1000 instead of a 600. Not sure if that makes a difference or not.

Don't be a fool and buy a pipe when you have 1k to spend. The pipe you are talking about sounds like and will cost you performance. Im not talking about not adding, I'm talking about losing power.

Sorry, meant 1000cc, not 1000 bucks! Anyways, I hear ya. Just bought 2 bikes within the last week and have a growing list of I want to do to them both, so the money is dissapearing rather quickly between the two of them. Also doesn't help that I am just about the LEAST mechanically inclined person you'll meet!

Don't do it till you can afford to do it right! Like bluewave said, a loud cheap exauhst could rob you of power/performance.

It was sarcasm. I was being rude. But i would agree with joebusa, do it right, and it will sound right. If you buy a cheap can the sound is never clean and crisp. it will be rasping and clanging and you'll end up taking it off cause you will sound like the annoying Honda civics with a Fart can on them. Keep it stock or go quality. Look at people selling bikes or wrecked bikes and ask to part out exhaust.

That's funny ! Alright, last question about it, I promise... Any preference between the TBR Black Series slip on and the Yosh carbon slip on? Either would look good and are about the same price. Is one better than the other?

Guys keep the jokes to Off Topic.
Especially if it's someone with limited experience trying a DIY.

Basically by saying "NO TBR NO YOSHI BUT WANT QUALITY PRODUCT" You've taken basically the only two quality (opinion varies here) pipes at reasonable prices out of the equation.

I would go with TBR for the slip on. It doesnt get easier than installing a slip on.
