He seems to break it every year now. He broke 3 times this year. Well, he broke it, then the 2nd crash broke the plate that was holding it together, and the 3rd one further damaged it. He was supposed to try some sort of therapy where they pull bone cells from the hip and inject them around the collarbone or something like that.

I dumpede a wheelie in 2002 and broke my collarbone into 1000 or so pieces. Got a sweet titanium plate with 11 screws. It never really hurt after the surgery and healed to be even stronger. I dumped another wheelie this spring and landed on the same shoulder. I got good rash but did not re-injure the collar bone. I was riding a few days later.\
Can't wait to dump my next wheelie.

While I was standing in the line from to exit Laguna Seca this year, I noticed the dude next to me had the same scar on his collar bone as I do. I asked if it was a motorcycle wreck, and he said yeah, and told me about it. Then he said, check this out, and showed me a 1" wide sore spot on the edge of the scar. It oozed green puss when he squeezed it. I asked how long since he had the surgery and he said 6 months. He said the doctor said it might take awhile to heal completely. I said, your doctor sucks.
