First race weekend

I had an awesome 1st race weekend at ECR! Even though I ran out of gas on the last lap after making it up to 3rd (from last on the grid) in F2, and crashed on the first lap in HWT (first crash EVER in 13 years of street and trackday riding), it was still more fun/exciting than any trackday. I did end up getting 3rd in LWT (from last on the grid, again), and had an awesome battle the last couple laps, running my best laptime of the weekend (2:02:474) on the last lap. All the CMRA people were great...super friendly and more than happy to answer any questions I had. Like people have said before, you can't beat the feeling you get lining up on the grid or chasing down a group of riders in front of you... it definitely takes your riding to a new level!
Oh, and BTW, ECR is awesome! I'd never been there before, and it took a little time to figure it out, but now it's definitely my favorite Texas track. Can't wait to do it again!

here's the video from the LWT race:

You did super, Andy. Some of the regulars had no idea who you were or where you came from. That's always refreshing to see. Well, for me, not for them.

Looking forward to seeing you guys at TWS (Texas World Speedway)!

I was hoping to win! looking back at the last race at ECR, I ran almost as quick this time as ryan max johnson did last time there.... too bad he decided to drop almost 4 seconds and get into the 1:58s!

I did win the F7 mini sprint on my gf's stock xr100 with pirelli scooter tires. The fact that I was the only one entered in the class wasn't my fault, LOL.

ya, it took a couple of laps, but then the red mist came down, and I started rolling out. I still need to work on my starts, so I'll have a chance to get up to the 1st and 2nd place guys by the end of the race. I still had a blast out there though...WAY better than any trackday!
