Alpinestars jackets, TZ-1 vs MX-1

Does anyone have either of these jackets? The TZ-1 is decently priced and it pretty nice looking. Only problem ive had when trying these on is the collar. The leather collar is extremely stiff and presses pretty hard into the back of my neck.

Some of the jackets have a soft collar, does the MX-1 have a soft collar? I havnt been able to see one in person so I cant try it on. The TZ-1 is good for the money but I'll spend the extra money if ill be happier with the mx-1.

Another thing, both of these say "Connection zipper allows attachment to selected Alpinestars leather pants" Which pants are they talking about? the TZ-1 only has a rear zipper, it doesnt go all the way to the front like 2pc suits.

Send a PM to Zubie99... He's got the TZ-1 and as far as I know he really likes it. I've tried his on and it's really comfortable to me. I also like the appearance of the TZ-1, it's not too "loud". I'm personally thinkin of getting the Stage jacket, so I have SOME ventillation as well as a nice lookin' A* jacket.

Appears the TZ-1 doesnt have any good ventilation, thats going to suck in the summer. But I want something that will keep me warm in the winter

I just ordered my TZ-1 off Ebay, got a great auction deal on it. My other choice was the Vented Stage jacket. However I only plan to wear leather during the winter only as well.

The MX-1 collar doesnt look like it buttons like the TZ-1 so it might be a little more comfortable. Also the design doesnt look as stiff. I couldnt decide between the TZ-1 and Stage, so the good price made the decision for me. If price wasnt an object and I wasnt between jobs right now, it would be a Dianese Zen or Rossi leather for me.

I have a TZ-1...Actually works pretty well in the summer. You're only hot if you just standing in the sun somewhere. As far as the collar being stiff, that goes away after a few rides. I loves my TZ-1...
