obed- old and slow

Yep, my track days are slow...but then again I do not view track days as a race, I am not and never will be interested in racing...
when it comes to riding , I want to be sure I finish having done it right along the way.... hit every point on the right line, made the shifts, hit the brakes, rolled on the throttle, all at the right time in the ride....
I am old and have lots of riding experience, but never from a race point of view... I guess much of my attitude has been shaped by the women in my life, laugh if you want to...
but lets face it...I know certain folks who take great comfort in knowing when it is this old man doing the riding, they are always going to finish before I do....

I,m old and slow too, and I also look at them a little differently than in years past, now I just wanna go out and have fun and not worry about going to jail, or someone texting and driving taking me out, things change a little as we mature and get grandchildren, U guys will see someday if U are lucky, go out have a good time and come home in one piece and do it again, there will allways be somebody faster, a couple seconds a lap faster dont mean chit to mee, I wanna curl up in bed with my sweetie and play with the babies, riding is just a piece of my life

At least your having fun while nobody is in any great danger/harm, and your putting the bike to use. I'm sure you can still feel the freedom whether your racing or not. Your enjoying yourself and living your life and that's what really matters.

Every rider is different.

Considering all the young hotshot noise we normally get, it's nice to get a different perspective of what we can become someday if we don't end up ground beef on 610.
