what to do??

my Scotts stabilizer is leaking fluid... on the adjuster is leaking from the seal.

what can I do? would I be able to send this one for repairs? has anyone here done that?
I dont want to spend 200+ on a new one but if I'm going to spend about the same amount of money then I'll just get a new one or used one then.

What does the seal look like? Might be able to use a liquid gasket type compound ie: Hondabond4.

I Just had to send my buddies in. Took 2 days to get there, 3 days for service, and 3 days back. Cost $60 for everything.
Works like a charm.

Servicing the Stabilizer:

The average cost for a "completed service" by us, including 2 new seals, new high quality original oil, thorough cleaning of all the valving, wear measurement of vane to body, link arm clearance, anti-contaminent re-assembly, hydraulic bench test and valving re-set, is $35 for the labor and approximately $30 for the parts, plus the shipping.

If you should want to send your stabilizer in for servicing please include the following:

Include a note with your name, address and phone numbers. (UPS does not deliver to PO boxes.)

If we have to call you, it takes longer as sometimes you're not available.

Let us know how you want it shipped back: 1 day air, 2 day air, regular ground, etc.

Include your credit card number and expiration date. The card must match the address we are shipping to.

Be sure you let us know what it is you would like done, give us a clue, so we can expedite your service.

Remember we receive a lot of stabilizer's every day for service so try to help us get yours back to you quickly.

We normally can service a damper and get it shipped out in 5-7 days depending on all of the above.

It's a normal deal.
However if the unit is less than a year old Scotts may service it gratis which is why I recommended calling them on the front side.
