Street Riding-1pc or 2pc leathers

Hi guys, not that it looks summer is fading away I would like to know what do you guys wear. For those street rides, would you use a 1pc or a 2pc leather suit?

Ormand wears his 1pc almost everywhere at any weather condition haha. For me, I just wear jeans, boots, jacket, gloves and helmet.

Rain or shine

I just feel more comfortable in leathers...I feel safe and more comfortable riding aggressively. I never went down but if I ever do, I'd hate for that to be the day I wasn't wearing the best protection I have. I am a heavy guy (260+lbs) so me going down is going to be a lot worse than the average rider...that's just a fact. It's also good for conditioning and keeping the leather from getting too tight.

When I am not wearing leathers, I wear riding jeans, knee guards, race boots, jacket, back protector, helmet and gloves. Very rare, but from time to time (so far, 3x in 2 years of riding), I will squid it up with tshirt, shorts, sneakers, helmet and gloves riding 10 miles north to Clear Lake.

aerostitch makes a 1 or two pc Roadcrafter, generally considered to be the best commuter suit available

the 1 pc zippers all the way open from one wrist down to the other ankle

aerostitch suggests the 2pc for larger/rounder riders though

advrider voted it the best piece of gear

one of these days I will get one

2 pc is nice for street rides, just unzip the jacket and it comes right off so you can relax.

1 pc is better for wrecks since the mid section zipper isn't there to fail.

There's nothing wrong with a good 2pc with a reliable zipper, even for moderate track use. The 1pc is just technically safer since there's no zipper to fail in the event of a wreck.

I had a 2pc but invested in a 1pc alpinestars trigger one for track days. I now always wear the 1pc.
