Just saw a video of it and I changed my mind. That thing is bad looking. It's got electronically adjustable suspension that you control on the dash. Sick. Would be cool to be cruising down the road and as the road starts to get bumpy you just hit a button a few times and voila...suspension adjusted to the road!

It's a beautiful bike, but I think bang for the buck, I'd go with the BMW to be honest... I think the bottom range for the bike is like 18k? That's a tad bit to not have the claim of having top HP...

Agreed and I think it would be a tad bike more expensive to crash at the track with one of those since the engine is the frame and all

There's a LOT more to a bike than just peak HP numbers. I'll sacrifice a few whp for lighter weight as well.

Legally, yes..........(long hesitation)

In all honesty, if we're squirming over a few HP or a few lbs... There are very few riders I meet with myself included that can argue saving 10lbs on an A/M exhaust is worth the price vs losing the weight myself. Furthermore since a 600 has more untapped potential then the majority of riders out there(exluding track guys) its settling for a preference of price/design/loyalty to brand.

just put my deposit down for the 1199 Tricolore S last Saturday and got confirmation that Ducati will release the Tricolore S models first, then the S and standard base models.

There will be no more R versions, instead the Tricolore S will be its replacement, which will come with traction control, race abs, quickshifter, slipper clutch system, full titanium exhaust and extra top fairing covers for improved aerodynamics, the internals will be different but at this point Ducati has not released any details yet.

Ducati will only ship 3-5 bikes per dealership at first with ETA for the 1199 Tricolore S in late March 2012.

On the Ducati board, they are saying it comes with a half system, not a full system. I haven't heard anything about different internals. What were you told?
