No advice on color, but if your trading something in.. don't let them know right away.

Negotiate the whole total deal without the trade-in.. tell them you want to keep it as a backup or whatever. Then, after the whole total deal is negotiated, and you have the best price you can get _on paper_.. ask them how much they will give you for your car. That way you get the true and honest answer for what it's worth to them.

And you can, at that point, take it to car max and get more money more than likely

Sorry to say.. Mazda quality sucks IMO! Have you look into a Civic or other alternatives within your price range?

I disagree, Mazda's quality (piston engines) is right up there with anything Honda has to offer. The reason why Mazda has gotten a poor quality reputation is because of their rotaries, which are fast but can be expensive to own. The Mazda 3 is a fun little car. My wife has one and she loves it.

I am not the rotary engine or anyone here. I worked in a car shop and I see plenty of Mazdas come in to get repair on them. May be the newer car will last abit. But once mileage get up there. Too many things goes wrong with those bastards.

Mazda wasn't the best quality about 10-15 years ago (around the time of the FD RX-7). The new ones, which is what this guy is looking at, are fine little cars.

Yeah, I'd only get a mazda if it was a MazdaSpeed3...but then again I'm a subie guy and don't like driving wrong wheel drive cars anymore.

nono... sell them your car first and what ever they tell you push for $500 more...get 500 more.. they will hold back on the trade and put that into their profit...then take their car @ invoice minus rebate and you will have a fair deal...anything after that is just fighting for 1-200 dollars...I just quit my job as a car salesman

If you like a sedan, yes. I prefer the 3. Sportier and better fuel economy.

ya the 3 is def my favorite the only thing kool about the sentra is its wireless bluetooth in car option that lets you talk on the phone through the stereo inside the car and the hidden double trunk space tucked into the rear seat and the 3's not a 6 speed
