Anyone riding up north Tomorrow (Sunday) morning?

Looking for a few people to ride with Sunday morning. Somewhere up north (forest, Livingston, etc.). Not looking for DPSL ride, just a nice spirited cruise. Let me know if anyone is down to ride!

Me and Vmax bud ran forest today. He did real well till 3090. 3090 claims another bike. He went off the road and missed a tree and a concrete culvert by a couple feet. Hopped a driveway and caught air. Landed on the other side of the drive and fishtailed into a fence. Big ole gash on his lip, maybe some ribs broke, or bent anyway. He's in hospital now and I arranged and followed wrecker to the shop and checked his bike in.

Bike looks fixable. Forks are bent, radiator is leaking, shifter broke, various scratches, etc.

FYI LEO was hiding out 3090 at 244.

I even stopped when we got on 3090 and warned him to take it easy

He did make it almost to 244. I was leading and got to 244 and no bike behind me. Turned around and I see him stuck in a fence. He never went down. Handlebars must have hit his ribs when he hit the fence. Nice guy in cage saw him wreck and said he went about 2 feet in the air. He helped me free the bike from the fence and push it back on the road. MAN them 2nd gen Vmaxes is heavy.

He wanted to try to ride it home but forks were bent back so much the front tire made the radiator start leaking. We made it to the shell on 1097 and he starts to get woozy so we call EMT. Wrecker was monitoring EMT calls I guess and shows up so I just had them take it over to Cycle Shack. Kind of a weird situation. This was only 2nd time I've rode with him and didn't even know his last name. He tossed me his keys as he rolled away in the ambulance

I felt bad for him. he was so mad at himself for wrecking. When we got on 3090 I told him this was the road everybody likes to crash on. He told me he wasn't going to crash.

I told him don't worry how I ride just ride his own ride and take it easy since he's never ridden 3090 before. At least he missed those trees and that culvert.

You must've been on the VMax and had him thinking he could follow your lead.

What?!

You guys were taking it easy and he still went down? Sounds like someone needs a few lessons on the noob-friendly rides.

Relatively easy, about double the posted in the curves. Maybe 70 in the straights. He's a veteran motorcycle drag racer but his experience in twisties is limited. I think that 2nd gen max is just too heavy to try to flick too much.

Oh, okay. We can give him some slack.

I'm sure he'd make me look foolish at the dragstrip.

I'm up to watch MotoGP and will go for a ride afterwards. No DPSL is fine with me. Let me know about a meet spot. I'm downtown.
