Exclamation Warning to Craigslist sellers

I've been trying to sell my bike and I had a guy who said he was interested in buying it. So I told him when and where to meet me and I waited in the parking lot for 2 hours with him telling me he was almost there. He wouldn't answer his phone, only texts. He wouldn't directly answer my questions. After 3 hours of playing his games, I googled his number. He has been reported for fraud, and similar stories to mine were posted about this number.

832-671- 9619 is his number and his email is ddd_transportation@yahoo.com

Watch out if you're trying to sell anything on Craigslist.

He is known as "Toby Davis" according to Google. For a good time, call/text him. He's racist and a offender. Enjoy.

This.

What did he do that was wrong to you? Other than you waited... was he going to beat you up and steal your bike?

What part of him not showing up is fraud? Is he the kind who takes the bike and doesn't pay?

Hmmmm...

Too many callers demand a voice call which is understandable because of scum like this. I am the one who suffers in the long run though... I have been refused many potential sales/buys because of that.

Of course you should have a voice call
. If the person sounds like some thug from "da hood" I wouldn't meet them anywhere without my sidearm, period.

I did NOT do the "same " with you. I scheduled a meet with you a few days beforehand. I went in a different direction and forgot to contact you. 100% my fault. I even apologized to you in your for sale thread.

Bitter much?

Every time I would text him and tell him I was about to leave he would say "I think I'm almost there or I'll be right there"

It's not just that he didn't show for me, I googled his number and he has done this to a lot of people. Other people said he had scammed them.

He's just a piece of that gets a kick out of wasting other peoples time.

He has a lot of stuff for sale on craigslist too. Maybe he's selling stolen goods or something. I'm not really sure.

I do see your point in losing time and potential buyers, but he didn't really scam or defraud you, because he didn't get anything out of it. I'm guessing he was trying to come up with the money by 'hustling' real quick, and it didn't pan out.

Live and learn - and don't wait for two hours next time. Wait for 10-15 minutes, then tell him you're selling it to the next guy or he can sit in a parking lot and wait for you next time.
