Stop and think...

If it's a repost, my apologies... it's not local, but it applies all the same...

This articles brings recall of an accident I was involved in...
When you go to ride, stop and think about not just what could
happen to you...but how it could impact others also.

Wow.. I like that they keep stressing the point that it's a small number of sport bikes.

Hehe.. and the 'investigative' reported was probably miffed at the news anchor. He tried to leave a cliff hanger so that everyone would tune it to part 2. "you won't believe what you will see" or something.. and the anchor is like.. Well, you already said they were doing 150" :laughing6

I used to ride with groups on the weekends. The first was just outside of Beaumont, but I just had to give that up due to speeds in excess of 150; just couldn't fathom crashing and having to tell someone what a dumb thing I would have done, if i would have lived to tell about it, too many variables on the road!. I tried a few years later, and a rider in our group crashed and broke his Left scapula; I was always at the back of the group. Now I just ride alone and save my speed for the race track.
I just can't imagine ruining my life, my families lives, other drivers/pedestrians,etc, lives! I think that would be an ultimate disgrace!
I'm a motorcycle enthusiast, but do not condone reckless/irresponsible behaviour.

the bikes are built for one thing~ to go extremely fast!

I hate FOX news.

Motorcycles are dangerous and most riders ride fast. Is that really news to anyone? How many times have you seen a burning building or a flooded street on FOX news? It's cheap broadcasting.

On another note .... take it to the track, guys. The public roadway is not your private road course.

Maybe when "that small percentage of sportbike riders" are all dead the rest of us can hold our heads back up from shame
