this is what happened to my axle block...i think someone had used impact gun or air tool to tighten up my axle nut, so when i try to loose it, the axle actually bent the axle block...

I heard about one today with two guys down. One got transported to the ER, and all because of an armadillo. Not sure where that ride was, though.

Ya know...in hindsight, lifting my foot is the only thing that didn't cross my mind as the culvert got bigger. I didn't see the point in getting mad about it. happened, and I learned a lesson. Bike and I were both OK, and I guess I was just really glad it didn't turn out worse. I'm also glad it was me that went down instead of someone else, so at least you guys got to enjoy the rest of the ride (minus the rain).

Dude, I think I still have my old stock blocks. If I can find them, you're welcome to them.

I enjoyed the ride. Met some nice people and had some good laughs. Glad to hear Pinball is doing well, could've been worse. I'll do this ride again. DEUCE...

Got some good news today. Ortho specialist said I only have one broken bone on the top of my foot and that all my tendons are intact. No surgery or cast required. I just have to stay in this walking boot until it heals, which will be 4-6 weeks. A much better prognosis than I thought it would be, and a good outcome overall.

Riding boot is what saved my . As soon as the swelling goes down enough to get it back on and I can put weight on my ankle again, I plan to be back on the bike. I think my A*'s will give the rest of my foot enough support. I can't drive my car with either the walking boot or my A*'s on, so I'll probably be back on the bike before I can cage anywhere. Just gotta figure out how to strap these crutches to the bike.
