gsxr 750 motor in a bandit 600?

i've read somewhere before that the early model gsxr 750s engine will drop right into the bandit 600s frame and the harness as well as the cdi will work. just has a bigger mount on the rear and the cdi should be changed out as that controls the rev limit.

a buddy of mine is interested in picking up a bandit project and i was just double checking this for him. can anyone give me some input on this?

Yes they fit. IIRC it has to be the air cooled engines, like you said "early model."

The 1200 Bandit engine should also fit. In fact somebody on here has a Kat with a 1200 Bandit engine in it.

Cool thanks for the tip, I wonder how a b6 would handle with a 1200 In it

Do you know if it matters the year of the bandits?

Should not matter.. I have a 1st gen bandit motor in my 06 katana. The mounts are all the same, your main issue will be height. The 1200 is a taller motor then the 600/750 series. I don't know about the bandit 600 frame, but in the Katana's its a Swap the breather cover and notch the frame to get it to fit.
