It's about as idiotic as doing 120 WITH gear, because at 120 MPH, gear won't much save you.

Let me clarify and quantify that... You may get to live another 3 or 4 minutes in excruciating agony before dying.

Always have to LOL at dumbs coming in here to defend other dumbs being dumb and pretty much always wind up dumbing even dumber, thus confirming the initial suspicion of a dumb being dumb.

Dumb.

That's still entirely dependent on the wreck and a few other variables.

Is NOT!!!! Haven't you ever watched CHIPs? EVERYTHING that crashes always blows up.

120mph is only a death sentence if you come to a sudden stop or get run over etc.. I chewed half the right arm off my leathers in 2000 coming off an R6 at about 115-120. I can assure you that gear made a big difference in the outcome, particularly as my head slid on and whacked the ground a couple of times (yeah I know, it explains a lot...plenty of concussions over the years).

Most of the real world isn't built like a track, with hay bales. I have never picked up anyone off the freeway investigating a wreck where the guy was riding 120 MPH and lived. They were ALL dead. Regardless of gear.

Gear is important. Riding properly, without trying to get the next adrenalin high, is more important.

Which is why I don't ride that fast on the street. This thread isn't about people doing stupid on public roads, this thread is about doing stupid with respect to safety at even sane speeds.

120 MPH is also a death sentence if you're tumbling, which is more common if you're on the real road as opposed to a controlled track. You will snap bones like twigs.

Race all day long on the track. When you get on the road, ride like you have some sort of sense. I see SO many people street racing around, and geared up or not, they're some stupid people, statistics all.

I just wish all these no geared dicks would gravitate towards Honda. I'm tired of GSXR riders getting all the good used parts when one of these mental midgets wads up another Suzuki.
