Some good roads headed out the back way up 1725 to the lake going through coldsprings. My parents live up there and I always like taking the trip on the bike. There is a place in coldsprings called "the hop" which is a great place for burgers! If I was in town I would be more then willing to show some peeps. Should be back in about 10 days.

We did this in my car club but it was a long time ago and I don't remember much about it...

Also map and directions were made by leader so you might want to verify them beforehand.

1.Breakfast site in Conroe/The Woodlands - to be determined
2.County Line Rd/3081/ to 1725
3.L on 1725 , then north to jct 150.
4.R on 150 to Coldspring to jct 156,
5.L on 156 to Point Blank,
6.R on 190 to jct 980,
7.L on 980 to Riverside and jct 19,
8.R on 19 N. Continue on 19 to jct 356,
9.R on 356 E to Onalaska and jct 190,
10.L on 190 E to jct 2457 R on FM 2457 which become Scenic Loop aka 3277. Continue to jct 3126,
11.R on 3126 to jct FM 1988,
12.R on 1988 to jct FM 3278 to jct FM 222,
13.R on FM 222 to JCT FM 3128,
14.L on 3128 W to jct FM 1514,
15.L on 1514 S to Coldspring.
16.Then just run 150 West and have lunch on Lake Conroe.

Let me see what I can do. The thing about me leading a ride is that the only routes I am familiar enough with are The Forest from PP69 up to Yankees or Crabb River/Grand Pkwy over to Racer Road. Or we can hit the parts of Livingston, including FM1725, that I can remember from a couple weeks ago.

Suggestions??

I need to get one of those little brackets to hold my iPhone onto my triple tree clamps. Stopping to pull my phone out once I get all turned around in there can get annoying. I'm willing to give it a shot in Livingston, though.

Have you tried to use a suction cup like for the windshield on your tank?

maybe one of those exercise arm band and wrap it around your forearm (predator style).
not perfect, but relatively easier to access compared to in the pocket?
