Harry's Laptimer, anyone else here use it?

I had it before when I had my CBR on the track a lot, but never used it. Now since Ive got a new track , I see they have updated the software. Looks good. Anyone else here use it? Looks like you can compete online as well.

Could be fun amongst our group...

So this is in competition with GPX Pro, but using your iphone as the hardware? And gathers throttle/brake, etc. from OBDII?

yeah, from what I see the imputs are from obdII only which sucks for us, but maybe they will have something in the future?

I just care about the gps mapping and laptime/g forces etc...

I've looked into it. It's best to use a data logging device to capture the information. The refresh time on the phones is way too slow for good track info.

Good info...

It seems that if two or more rider had this in operation at a trackday, that their friends could go online and watch them live?

I'd think 5hz or 10hz data logging wouldn't transmit fast enough. The logger is really meant to be reviewed afterwards.

I did look into using RC aviation FPV equipment to transmit GoPro video live from the bike. The GoPro has an SD quality video out. Only thing is getting a transmitter strong enough for larger tracks to be picked up by a receiver in the pits.

I tried it with my Iphone 3g at TWS (Texas World Speedway) and it never picked up any laps. When I exported the data, it followed the track for the most part, just never picked up the start/finish line? I've heard the newer phones have a way better gps antenna compared to my 3 yr old Iphone 3g, and work pretty decent with the app. If you add a bluetooth gps antenna, it's supposed to work bad ....I need to get one.

It sounds pretty cool. It doesn't look like it's available for the android op system though. I'm going to have to look into finding one that is for the android sys. I like the idea of being able to dissect my laps.
