Welcome to MH!

You'll do great on the 250 and you'll enjoy riding it - he's correct about it holding its value, so don't worry about how long it will take for you to grow out of it. Keep the speeds respectable and take it to the track for triple digits. Riding on the streets in Houston is dangerous - remember that everybody on the road is trying to kill you, so keep on your guard at all times.

I commute about 35 miles into downtown everyday, and I rarely get over 80. Why you would need to go 107 on the freeway is beyond me.

Awesome Cycles is, by far, the very best MSF school. You'll enjoy it - I promise.

is that how fast you wanna go on your 250?? I bet you open that... we could call it.. throttle all the way, and that thing screams for help ! LOL past 30 mph...

I don't doubt you can do 107mph.. it may show them on the spd.. but will it run them? and by the time you achieve that speed, the group you're riding with should be on the other side of houston eating some wings bro !
Jeez. Don't ever ride with this jackwad. He'll get your killed or thrown in jail at the least. Way to encourage a new rider to ride like an hat.

Dude - I'm glad you love your 250 (I started on one, too), but don't post speeds in triple digits on a public forum. It's admitting guilt, and it doesn't make you look cooler - it just makes the guy saying you have to ride 100+ all the time or be left behind look like an .

It's not about the ride itself. It's the GSXR experience. Great power, good chasis, comfortable. They're great all around bikes. Some may make more power, or handle better or do this better. But, they costs elsewhere.

Unfortunately you picked a bike too slow, and you will grow out of power soon before the end of this year if you ride on a regular basis (almost daily)
There are many groups in here, we all ride in packs, from 3+ all the way to 30 bikes, there's a ride almost every day, just keep posted, and hope you enjoy your bike.

Always wear your gear
I dont know you but it sounds like you dont know what you are talking about.

with all due respect, you're a moron, do you know what "jkjk" means?
and ... just sayin' ??

is my freedom of speech, and if I wanna have fun with whomever the f*** I want to, I will, being nosy like yourself, is not bad, but at least don't go calling people names on public like that, specially people that are not offending you, nor disrespecting you, and that you don't know about !!

btw... Squoddybody <----- says a lot about you!

once again, with all due respect, ma'am.

Keep it turn it into a track bike after you get a 600 in the future. That's what my plan is. The 250 class in track riding is some of the fastest paced and technical riding out there!
