FYI, liability and theft coverage isn't expensive at all.

Take it from the people (like me) who have had their bikes stolen from them. Having that insurance is worth it in Houston. After all, you can't sleep next to your bike every night with a gun at your side.

Welcome! I also live near Willowbrook mall and ride a 2010 ninja 250. As far as exhausts if you want cheap get a danmoto. But if u have some extra cash Yoshi pipe with dynajet rejett kit is the way to go. Hit me up to go ride sometime. Ps I did the same thing as you before I took my class in june. Helped alot. I just put close to 200miles on my bike on Sunday it was a blast

Awesome Cycles is the way to go!

Ebay would be nice to get you an exhaust or you can always go to Patrick at Motorcycles Unlimited. He'll hook you up!

Hello, and welcome

you don't sit all day at the class, it's a couple of videos, valuable information, as well as hands on training, they'll give you a bike to ride.
Unfortunately you picked a bike too slow, and you will grow out of power soon before the end of this year if you ride on a regular basis (almost daily)
There are many groups in here, we all ride in packs, from 3+ all the way to 30 bikes, there's a ride almost every day, just keep posted, and hope you enjoy your bike.

Always wear your gear

She didn't pick a bike too slow I took mine to 107mph on Sunday. This is her first bike. When she upgrades to a 600 ill bet she will be a better rider than most of those who started on a 600. And she isn't likely to lose much money a ninja 250 retains incredible resale value. Plus they crazy fun in the twisties
