K6 GSXR-600 Coolant Concerns

Purchased the bike from dealer in summer of 2006 and just recently reviewed the service manual. It states that coolant should be drained andrefilled every two years. I haven't changed it since I left the dealer... I know I need to change it. Will a drain and refill job be sufficnet?!? If so, typical Prestone green premixed coolant ok for the job or does it have to be of a specific type like brake fluids DOT 4 vs. DOT 3?!?

If drain and fill not sufficient? What's the next course of action?!? Coolant flush like a car?!?

U should be fine but I would defiantly drain it,flush it and fill it with engine ice coolant.

When I do my bikes I just drain all the coolant, remove the left lower radiator hose, shove the water hose in the coolant hose and let it flush all the coolant out till it's clear.

Try looking it up on YouTube maybe. I ur not comfortable with it then take it to Motorcycles Unlimited.
