Don't quote me on that but my remark was not to be taken seriously. It's a quote from Roger Stone, a self described "GOP hitman"...

That doesn't look too bad. Bike looks FAR worse than you do. Glad you're OK - sucks about the bike.

There had to have been a large difference in moving speed between you and the car.
Glad you survived that.
winner winner , just saying it sure looks like the bike was hauling major and the car merged over into a speeding bullet. I dunno of course

Clearly a 5mph fender bender.

OP,

Glad you're ok. Similar thing happened to me about 3 weeks ago. So i'm on my way to ticket to ride at sam houston race park. Riding 290 south close to the beltway. Tell me why this douchebag would deliberate cut me off then slam on his brakes from 60mph to a complete stop! I hit the back end of his mini ford suv, then the SOB took off! witnesses say he pulled over on the emergency lane then left about a minute later. long story short i ended up in the hospital with 5 broken ribs, left knee abrasion and a load of pain! NO ONE got his license plate number. AMAZINGLY the bike (2009zx10r) is ok! the frame sliders saved my bike. minor scuffs on the left side. anyway sorry to hear about your accident bro and thank to the man above we both lived right!

He's probably not going to want to talk about how fast. Someone screwed up, or else no accident.

Can't really even try to guess the speeds involved on this collision. The reason is that there is no empirical data on a 700 lb object hitting a car in that particular location, eg, up into the trunk. If there was crush data into the frame of the car, like from another car, then those kinds of things are somewhat possible.

I'd tend to think a 20 MPH collision could also do that kind of damage. I'd guess fractionally higher, but probably not 40 MPH. That is a huge amount of speed differential.

I've seen what happens when a bike hits a car at 100 MPH, and this ain't it.

glad to see you are ok.

It was smart you didn't admit anything bcuz once they set up a false statement against you, it will cost you to hire those investigators to check on the vehicles just to prove u r innocent.
