Last thing I want to do on my Sunday morning shift is sit at La Madeleine jacking up motorcycles.

My guess he's a wrecker driver. If he is, he would be accompanied by the police. Your bike would get jacked.

My observation, 15-20 sport bikes, most with aftermarket exhaust, makes a of a noise. I don't think anyone intentionally throttled up or revved the motor, I think it was a combo of multiple loud bikes in a confined area and a quiet, still, somewhat cool morning.

I saw a police SUV down one block in the parking lot while we rolled through to the feeder, I'm GUESSING that was around the 9/11 memorial service.
If so, yes, we pulled out from a stop onto a (60mph?) feeder road, and very few of the bikes are quiet. Combine that with trying get out before cars come down the feeder, and there is noise.
Sorry for the disturbance, but it was un-intentional.

While I had fun on the ride (and at the stops), doubt I'll be making it my regular.... just not my kind of pace/riding.

I hope ya'll took a different route from 290 back south.... we U-turned at 290 and the road had a LOT more dirt on it headed South.

Well, I didn't hit 6th between i10 & 290..... But I don't think that's the best way to describe the pace.

You're right, gears is not a good way to describe the pace. On my good rides, I rarely make it past 4th gear. On this particular ride, only time I went past 4th was the only time I went past xxxmph.
