I like Rumsfeld because he doesn't kiss the media's . He tells it straight and there aren't enough people in Washington who do the same. Don't you think he knows what is going on? We have a bunch of weak-kneed who want the approval of a Frenchman before we can go take care of business. 1000 more deaths are likely if we keep fighting the war this way.

The real mistake we made was taking the biggest, meanest, and baddest dog to the dog-fight and leaving him on the leash. If you want to win, let the dog off the leash. Let our boys do what they were trained to do.

I'm not going to argue about his moxie with the press, et al. That's no lie. Also, I'm far from saying we need to cut and run from Iraq. I AM, however, of the opinion we appear to be spinning our wheels there and something needs to change. He just seems too inexorable to change.

I think that the gloves need to come off in Iraq. F*** all this prosecution of troops from the war zone BS. The way to kill the insurgency is simple. Kill the insurgents, Kill their network affiliates, Kill their bankers, Kill their informants, Kill their spies, and Kill anyone and everyone who helps them and supports them in their cause. F*** this hearts and minds BS, this is a war zone and it needs to be treated as such.

And you're right about that. I'm sick of this politically correct BS. If we fight THEIR way then I think it's game over.
