I didn't say it was advice... Just one of the many options. Haven't had to say anything to too many people. So far, nobody has decided to test my ability to remain calm. Gotta be the black Harley, cuz I'm just an old fat guy...

I think you're cuddly. The Harley just means you haven't bathed recently.

Aww... You're so sweet. I'll have you know I have bathed very recently. First of every month, whether I need it or not.

If you're throwing a fit, after/when someone sincerely apologizes... stop and think for a minute.

It was a 40-something looking family guy so I think that hit deep and he did really looked apologetic but it was hard for me to sympathize with him when I’d just seen my life flash before my eyes 20 seconds beforehand.

So what do you do when someone almost hits you and actually seems like they are sorry?
If someone almost hits me waves and says sorry even through the window i shake my head and carry on. no hand gestures, nothing stupid. if at a light someone actually took the time to roll down there window I would thank them for the apology and ask that in the future to please be more alert. no reason to "lay into". what is done is done, just hope they in the future pay more attention.

I've noticed a different tone with people when on the Hardley. WAY different. Cops wave, people stay out of my lane/way. it's very nice minus the bike not being capable of going fast . I'm ok with that

Accept it and move on. Sounds like you were ridding in his blind spot so its not completely his fault. He should have turned and looked but at the same time this is Houston and that dosnt happen often.

Plus one ,count to ten & count my blessings .
With hearing about so many hit & runs these days ,for someone to stop & verbaly apologize is pretty rare these days.
I do understand your frustrations though , nobody likes to see their lives pass before them .
Be safe & stay cool.

dude , I bet you got some stories.
I am here in my office busting out laughing & my co-worker probably think I had a liquid lunch.
Your story reminds me of the European Vacation Movie with Chevy Chase years ago.
