It is sad for sure. Your assumption might be correct as well. Just sucks people get these bikes and dont think about the small cost of gear...Helmet, Jacket, Gloves and boots. To me it is a small cost to what can happen in real life incidents.

most of the times when i see a Harley rider they are not wearing any gear at all, i dont know how they can ride at 80+mph without a helmet or a windscreen to protect them from the wind and little rocks/debris from the road.....

I just found out today that I know this guy... I have not seen him in a couple of month's and had no idea he planned on getting a bike. Juan was super nice and always smiling. I played Judo with him up in the Woodlands. Sad deal... he will be missed.
