I have a Dainese Monza Jacket, crash tested and it's perfect except with a scrap mark or two and a ripped shoulder patch, not bad for sliding 15/20ft. I also picked up a pair of Alpinestar leather pants in which I had the zipper portion sewn to the jacket to match. (jacket has two zippers, one is Dainese compatible and the other is Alpinestar compatible) Thinking about sewing a third zipper portion in for a pair of Fieldsheer pants for those cruising days. My first pair of Gloves were Tecnik Violators, wore out in less than a year on the palms due to not caring for them. Second pair of Gloves were MotoGP Nitrous, these had a untimely expiration with asphalt but they did their job. I now have a pair of Held Akira Gloves, by far the best feel and quality of materials... (also the most expensive) Sidi Boots BAR NONE, I have been wearing the older discontinued Race which were replaced with the Vertigo Corsa's. Helmet, Suomy! Feels like a pillow! (though the Arai is neat but doesn't fit as well and the visors are pricey) Back protector too, Knox... And the new fangled pain saver, Icon Under Armour KNEE/shin protectors!

If a few dollars more on riding/safety gear can save me hospital time, so be it! Skimp and have an "oh ", hopefully you can walk away from it or even better ride away...

Well, I went ahead and got the Dainese zen jacket, and a Dainese back protector (8 shell version) at CG. Used my 15% MSF discount. I also found a great deal for a Shoei RF-1000 Camber for 200 shipped! I also found a pair or Alpine GP Pro's, new in box for $75. Apparently the guy bought gear, but never got the bike. For boots, I ordered Setup Visions.

All in all, im pretty satisfied with the gear I got and should be good to ride...now to find a bike.

Anyone selling an SV650s?

Found some Teknic Speedstar gloves on fleabay, brand new, and decided to try the "make an offer". I put in $100 (180 retail) just to see what happened, and it was accepted. I shoulda tried $50. oh well, its a good deal
