HJC Carbon Fiber Helmet

http://www.hjchelmets.com/ac12_carbon.htm

I am looking to get a new lid here in a couple months and have started shopping around. Im looking at the usual suspects, Aria, Shoei and Suomy but have really been thinking about the new HJC Carbon fiber. I have had an HJC in the past, and while it wasnt my favortie helmet, it was acceptable. Now this Carbon Fiber model is really light and pretty cool looking too.
Just wanted to know if anyone has one, or knows any real world info about them.
Thanks in advance.

Looks cool but, if it was just acceptable before what makes you think it will be any better? Remeber you get what you pay for IMO.

I know those words are true. I was satisfied with the fit and comfort, the styling and noise are what put me off. Ive come to a point now that road noise doesnt bother me, and obviously the styling is what has me interested now. I was wearing my HJC when I had my first street wreck and it did its job well. It was ground flat enough on the back to sit on a table without rolling.
The Carbon Fiber is DOT and Snell M-2005, so it meets my safety concerns.

I appreciate the feedback though, thats why i started the thread. Its just that no one actually stocks that lid so I cant go check one out too easily(I live in College Station).

if road noise doesn't bother you, then chances are you have hearing loss. wear earplugs.

Thats Johnny Cash (my last name is Cash, so the dog is Johnny).
Hes a lab + ?, maybe rot, maybe bull mastiff. I adopted him Sept 05 and he friggin loves speed! No joke, the dog jumps at any oppurtunity to ride in the car and demands that the window be down so he can hang out. His mouth flies open and his eyelids fill with air, but he loves it!
So, I say, my dog is faster than me.

Road noise doesnt bother me because I wear earplugs now. Ive also been a competetive shooter, so I probably do have hearing damage, but yeah, if im going to be riding at speed for any duration(other than going to school or work) I wear those little disposable plugs. They block out engine and wind noise, but still allow me to hear horns, other cars, emergency vehicles etc.

That dog might be part moose...maybe his mom did some crazy stuff...lol.

Im leaning pretty heavily towards the Carbon Fiber, if I get it ill do a little write up for people to read.

+1, I am about 98% of the time because I tend to loose them.

I have a feeling though, that if he would rather wear an Arai, or Shoei, or whatver, he would have had no trouble finding a sponsor...

I would own an AC, but not the CS or CL.
