SuperSprox is a aluminum sproket with steel teeth. i had one on my 1000 and it held up real well. went through three aluminum and then bought this one and still looked new after three years. My 2cents.

Stay away from aluminum sprockets and specifically Vortex.
As far as pricing I can get you a great quality chain and sprocket combo for under $150.00, and can usually have it in 1-2 business days if I don't have it in stock. Pm me if you're interested.

They're made from a low grade aluminum and are not hard anodised. As a result they wear very quickly. I've got a wall full of badly worn examples with low miles.

i would go with steel, and supersprox is steel but with an aluminum core to lighten it. They also can custom make them in black blue and red if you don't like the gold.

Well with mine. I have the aluminum with steel tips.2 plus years on it already. Barely worn at all. I've put about 8k miles on it. For me and my personal experience with them i like it. And will buy vortex again. To each his or her own I guess.

I have a Drive Systems X2 on mine and love it. All steel and lighter and cheaper than Supersprox. Any steel sprocket will be just fine really.
