Hip Protection?

Last October I ate it and broke my pelvis and split my tibia. After some surgeries my pelvis healed ok but due to the energy of the femur head impact I became very arthritic in my hip socket and had to have a replacement. I only had surgery two weeks ago and already feel so much better and have a lot more mobility. I plan on riding my bike again but my question is do they make quality gear to protect the hip. I know if I slide foot first into an immovable object again it not gonna do anything at all, but on a low side situation I'm looking for something spread the impact durring the initial fall (try again fail better)

ooo. good luck with that. I am sure your doctor told you to quit riding and that it would take at least 6 months to fully heal. don't ride until you are cleared.

Well I'm definatly not getting back on my bike till I'm fully healed. But I definatly plan on riding again I'm just looking to protect myself in the best way possible when I do so.
