Hence the reason I only had my 07 R6 for about 3 months...I hated the ergos on that thing and I adjusted my vortex rear sets and still hated it. I couldnt even ride it 25 miles to work with out being uncomfortable....

From one Ivan to another, get an R6 If you want to ride aggressive. Once you learn it and feel comfortable you will thank me later. Otherwise try the GSXR or CBR for comfort. I would not recommend an R6 for commuting.

I love mt 06 r6. basically same as 08-10 though. i agree, it is more aggressive. ive owned a 600r and its fine to me. but going from an f4i... theres a huge change.. it has been 8 years in the making. so youd should expect power. but if youre fast and aggressive, get the r6. if you want comfort, get a cbr.

Have you ridden a daytona? It's aggressive, but not that bad. If my lazy can do a 700mi ride, you should be fine.

The newer R6s have some of the most racey ergos of the newer sportbikes. The only thing I can think that is worse is the new ducatis. That particular posture works on the racetrack, but yea......its going to be uncomfortable on the street.

I don't think your opinion of the new R6 is bad/unusual at all. There were a lot of things I hated about my RSV as a streetbike, and then on the first trackday it was like "oh, so THAT'S why they did it like that."
