it could be very hard to find a problem like this... valves could be tight.. or bad connection or lots of other things.. dont touch it and have it fixed.

This. My rectifier went out on my Daytona... It would do the same thing. sometimes the gauges would do crazy things. Sometimes it would start, and shut off randomly...

I had to get push started on one group ride... Thanks Bevo...

I tried calling you to give you some advice.

look for regulatorrectifiers.com or something like that... I bought my new one for 140. And have never had an issue since.
