...i usually walk in with 8 gallons and they never stop me. in fact sometimes they go out to grab 4 gallons from the bed for me if they acknowledge me and ask if i need help. but like i stated earlier, they normally don't even say a word to me.

I worked as an auto tech for years and years. Any reputable auto repair facility should take any oil and/or coolant. If it's mixed oil and coolant you might want to drop it off in front of a bay door while they are closed.
Theyre not going to give a except for the lowly general service guy who has to heft that into the tank. And if you take it to a busy shop you may just get pointed to where you can dump it yourself. I mix mine up but don't usually have enough coolant to notice and if you don't shake it it's on bottom anyways

FWIW reclaimer sucks the oil AND coolant into the same tank. I believe they seperate it at their facitily (or it seperates when they dump it into the storm drain....)

Wal-Mart will take it. They want you to log it in, dump it into a container, and then take your container home with you.

Who else?

really? autozone

+1 I buy my car's Mobil1 from Walmart on the cheap and damp the old used oil at Autozone for free. I think they have figured out what is going on as I never buy any oil from them and have stopped greeting me
