Riding A Bike Home With No Tags?

i know i've recently been making a ton of posting with questions, but this may be the last one. i might pick up a zx7 tomorrow for really cheap and street fighter it out. but the tags are out, im guessing it isnt legal to drive back, but would there be a good chance of me just getting a warning or being let go if i show the bill of sale stating i just bought the bike 20min ago?

A truck would be your best bet. If you don't have a truck, I think you're probably safe as long as you dont make a habit out of riding a bike with no tags. Congrats on the streetfighter. . .one of my favorite styles of MC.

ok so technically if you get pulled over they can impound the bike and give you a tix.

Will it happen? roll the dice and take your chances. you want a safe answer, truck it.

I have been known to ride without inspection, and have been pulled over with no consequences. Just know that it can happen and when it does just take it and walk away. You play the game you pay the price when you get poped.

to be safe you should atleast get insurance on the bike before you ride it. that would be the biggest ticket if you got pulled over. The other stuff you have a better chance of getting a warning.

also if you have an M class on top of the insurance that might help convince the officer to let you go with a warning. If you have nothing chances are you are going to get hit with atleast one or more tickets.

I would put in a truck until you can get insurance and give it detailed safety inspection, you never know how people take care of their bikes even when new.

I'll bet you a $100 that it wasn't bored at all. People say all kinda BS and how are you gonna know?
The only way to tell is pull the heads and measure the diameter and he knows you aren't gonna do that.

The smartest thing would be to wait for the truck but if it was me I would ride it.
