hey hey, so there is some flattrack down here. I just moved from Florida which had a surprisingly strong FT group (SDTRA). Was working on a vintage 250cc two smoker to cut my teeth on when I ran out of a job and couldn't keep up with the bills. Moved here, brought the bike with me so it might be something worth resurrecting.
Might be worth taking the wife and son to Pasadena in a couple weeks to guage their interest and meet up with some folks.

i'v been talking to some friends, and it looks like we will have a good turnout in Pasadena in all classes, especially in the maddog. so anyone that has an xr100, ttr125, drz, klx, etc. yall should come out and play. this is the perfect class to try/learn flattrack.

Bike numbers...except they aren't all assigned yet. 42, 97, 39 so far in Mad Dog. In the 450 class look for the Scherb brothers - 23, 32 and 78. Plus you can wander through the pits and visit, too, of course.

You talk to Max or Joe P? Jay's not old enough per the rules. They have a Junior class, but most of the kids are 10 or younger and ride 50s and 65s and such. However, Max told me that if enough youngsters in Jay's age bracket show up with the Mad Dog legal bikes, he'll break it out and have a Junior Mad Dog class. There's no guarantee of that, but he did say more and more bikes have been showing up lately, so it's a real possibility. Call Max Brune at 713-5 4 2-3 8 5 7 for more information.

Gates open around 8 am with practice around 10 am and races around 2 pm. Cars on the schedule, too, so expect those guys as well.

Spoke to Randy this morning, and he said he would possibly let Jay ride in the Mad Dog if he was comfortable with his skill level.

That's probably good enough. Might wanna tag with Max just to be all set, but it's Randy's gig with Max as support. I like Jay, I don't want to run him over. Conversely, as light as he is, it won't hurt if he runs me over.

Hey yeah, I'd like to meet some friendly faces. Or faces, whether friendly or not. I'm planning on being there for Pasadena either way.

Someone pick a time and place. My wife will be out of town so I'll be free to play all day!
