My close call this weekend

Hit some dirt and it threw me off to the low side (if you listen carefully the clicking you hear is my boot dragging on the ground) then when the bike stood up it threw me dead center on the seat thank . it is for reasons like this that i ride in full gear.

You didn't chop the throttle - that's the good thing.

yeah i think my foot sliding off helped. the plasic toe guard on my boot is torn to now. things could of been worse, i guess this is where riding in the dirt has helped me.

It looks like you were just putting along. It didn't seem like you were going fast. It also didn't seem like you were leaned over very far at all. Just looks like a wobble to me.

thats a good vid for newbies to watch. doesnt seem like your going all the aggresive, but out of nowhere some dirt can throw you into the oncoming lane.

hey racer X, you should show some clips like these at MSF.

If you don't mind me asking. What tires are you running, and at what psi? I ran power pilots pulled it through corners with little effort. I am currently running Dunlop Qualifiers, about the same effort, but feel 3xs the vibration in the bars...?cant say I haven't slipped, but think it was more my fault than road conditions and yah, dragging your toes isn't the greatest feeling the first few times.

I exited off of 290 in Brenham on my 'busa at about 10:00 one night on my way to Austin. I was doing about 75 when I entered the exit ramp and had slowed to about 65 when I noticed that the ramp ended right before the feeder road. The pavement stopped and the road dropped about 3 inches and turned into caliche powder road surface. !talk about a wobble! That was the closest I've come to ever going down at speed. Stock Hayabusa headlight SUCKS!

on my 05 (got stolen) the bridgestones never really grabbed, I hated them. On the 06, it seemed to have a med-soft bridgestone. The guys in the shop couldn't believe I was tearing up the edges as I was, but the front tire didn't grab everytime. I am also like you, I don't push it too hard through the corners, unless all conditions are favarable. Good luck with the m1s.
