A lot of options for your bike just in name sake alone.. And yes, a lot of people have had problems with loud pipes. Especially over here on the SW side.

No pipes in the world are going to keep you safe from the dumbass people on the road in houston. You could be next to them and they'll still run you over.

I'd just take that money and buy some reflective safety equipment and good gear instead.

Pipes wont keep you safe.

On the other hand, learning how to actually ride, might.

If all you're looking for is noise, ask Officer Holtsclaw what makes him want to go postal. If you actually give a about performance and just want a more mellow note, I recommend Vance and Hines. Rinehart is a maybe depending upon which ones you choose. Their current touring muffler is not as good as the one they used to put out.

I was passed by a bunch of dicks speeding on Harleys with loud pipes when I turned to look they were all wearing HPD uniforms.
