I10

Well, I made it home, (Birmingham, Alabama) left Houston at 9 am after checking on my employees. Got on the bike and hit I10 hotter than , smooth sailing all the way baton rouge, then van, grid lock. Thank for the camel back as I sat on the bridge for an hour, kick stand down waiting for traffic to move. Now in April I did the same ride and with all stops it took about 12 hours... today it took just over 16... so after is said and done, my bike is down as she gets well deserved loving. In the last two weeks, have ridden just under 3700 miles she ran like a champ, but now its valve job time, brakes, back tire, washing and polishing etc etc..

Just a heads up, if you are heading east, take the time and hit I20 I10 is sooooo rough and the construction is brutal...

I'm hoping to plan a 4 day or so ride in October from Houston to talledega for the race, beer, (ladies are welcome too!) Will do the straight shot to Birmingham and stay at my house, then go to the race (again no cost other than fuel and booze at the race) have tents and rv already set up.

Reason I'm throwing this out is because I have met so many great people through this site and want to give back. My boss is cool with it (since I help pay for all the booze) let me know by PM if anyone is interested.

Be forewarned, you will see about 300k drunken rednecks partying and lots of "assets" from the female persuasion....
