Never hear it called that before.. lol

But I get annoyed when people spell it gixxer.. I can understand saying 'gixxer' because G-S-X-R is too many sylables, but go ahead and spell it GSXR people!

In Lil Waynes song "stuntin like my daddy", he's always talking about a chromed out Yamaha 1100. Since when did Yamaha make an 1100. Lil Wayne WTF are you talking about?

I laugh at the pronunciation ZedEx for my bike. I don't care if that's how everyone else in the english speaking world says it, still is too funny.

Try boosta, biscus, hibiscus, hiboosta, some of many terms I've heard for Hayabusa.

i work with a guy who calls hayabusas "hayabuscas." Same guy showed me a pic of the gixxer he was going to buy. Funny thing was the picture showed a R-6S. He assured me it was gixxer 750 though. He is a big fan of rap by the way and a dum dum.

i hear it ALLL the time. no offense, im not racist at all, but its always black dudes calling them gixsters and boostas. these are also the guys who want to chrome out their '92 katana. they also want to drop it, and stretch it :dontknow: they get upset when i try to tell them there isnt much avaible in chrome to fit a katana, or when they ask me if a gsxr or a busa is a better bike and i tell them... (thank suzuki is disconuing them!).

other interesting things ive heard:

him: "yall got dem sprockets?"
me: "exuse me, what??"
him: " sprockets"
me: "uhhhh...I....ummmm..."
him: "you know... SPROCKETS, so can do dem "
me: "OHHHHHHH! you mean WHEEELIE sprockets..., yeah come on, ill hook you up. there over here"

here is another one:

him: "yall got dem firecracka tires?"
me: "shinko stealth?, yeah we have em, lemme show you where there at"
him: "naw, i dont want no stealth tire, i need that firecraka tire!"
me: "yes sir, i know...i know which ones you mean, there right over here, they're made by shinko, and they're called stealths..."
him: "naw man...i dont think u know what im talkin about..."
i show him these (tread looks like blackcat firecrackers):
shinko stlthrear 410x410
him: "oh...yea, yea! thats them...are these good tires?"

(never made sense to me...they'd always come in, excplitly looking for THOSE tires. you couldnt show him anything else, until they'd seen em. they HAD to have stealths, YET, they would ALWAYS have to ask, "are these good tires?") :dontknow:

they always seem to be popular since they are like $124 regular price for a 180.

i always thought these were funny. those, and gixter/boosta never really bothered me. im happy to help out anyone who rides...

...except for the guy trying to drop, stretch, and chrome the katana...he's a freakin idiot. :laughing6

haha...i believe it.

i remember a guy came in to buy gloves. he was on a blue busa.

he ended up getting some Fox MX gloves because the blue was a better match, they were more comfortable and they were $10 cheaper.

didnt matter how much i explained the gloves were made for motocross, not supersport bikes. the blue just didnt match enough...

i hate it when people ask me for their opinion on best gear to buy, and i see them the next day with the worst gear ever made just because it matches the bike and their shoes..

Heres one of my recent conversations at a local gas station. The dude what was talking to me looked like Big Worm from the movie Friday.

Big Worm: What kinda bike is dat?
Me: Kawasaki ZX-6r, 636
Big Worm: you only got a 600?
Me: ummm yeah...Its all I need.
Big Worm: You run it?
Me: Not really, but I like to hit up the back roads between here and College Station.
Big Worm: Like that roadracing ?
Me: Not really.....
Big Worm: Fukk them turns and , betcha my cousins boosa can walk all over your bike.
Me: I'm sure he can.......probably so....what do you ride?
Big Worm: Shhiiit I wrecked my last two bikes on Holmes road, I aint got right now. But Ima get that new Hayabusa comin out next year tho.
Me: Cool...be safe on it.
Big Worm: you got them leathers and all that , you need to go to the club with that on, you'll get some ***** fo sho!
Me: Aiight man......holla at you later.

One day at work somebody in the elevator asked me what kind of bike I had (I still had my gear on).

Me: "CBR".

Him: "Oh really? 750 or 1000"

Me: "1100"

Him: "F$## Yeah. I bet it's fast"

even better.. i pull up at a gas station next to a guy on a SRAD (stretched and chromed and falling apart) before i got and ride some twisties out here aorund waco..

Him: daymn kid, why you ridin an 80's bike?
Me: its an '06.
Him: say you got ripped on dat mug, dey sold you an 80's bike and they sed ii wuz a '06.

(im getting fed up with him him and asked him about his bike)

Me: I know what i bought, and even for an "90's bike, its probably worth more than your SRAD.
Me: You do realize your missing your Oil cap right?
Him: my what? is that a term for shitty, better not be hattin on my bike or else i'll blow your 80's 600 off the road. And yeah, i know my caps missin im having it chromed..

(im laughing my off at this point)

Me: well stay behind me, cause your missing some other parts off your bike and i dont want any pieces of it taking me out in a corner
Him: kid im about to blow your away in these turnz.

(long storys short, he tried to pass me in a corner and almost went down when he ran off the road cause he didnt know what he was doing)
