What are modded levers for?

Hey Forum, why do people change brake and clutch levers on the bikes (besides the sweet aesthetic improvement?), what do they do for you?

mostly for comfort, some people like short levers some like long ones. High end ones are more durable and are designed to sustain crashes.

Because everyone is doing it, and they look really cool. lol

Also because they have added features like ASV - Unbreakable Design, Adjustable Reach, High Quality Components/Rebuildable, Guaranteed Not To Break.

You have their word -
Quote:
"All ASV levers include a guarantee against breakage. That's right, you break your ASV lever, we replace it! No charge, No catch, No excuses. If you break your ASV lever, we will fix it or replace it. If you are not happy with your lever for any reason, we will do what ever it takes to make you happy. We have the best guarantee in the business and back it up in writing. No other lever manufacturer offers this incredible guarantee. Customer service is our top priority. We are not satisfied until you are completely happy with our product."

It all comes with having testerone in your system.
If you see something made of billet aluminum and anodized, you begin to make cave man grunting noises while pulling out your wallet.

I only brake with one or two fingers. Why would I put a lever on that is long enough for 5 and therefore likely to snap off in a crash?

When my sv650 hits 180 mph the front straight at TWS (Texas World Speedway), I was finding that the wind resistance of oem levers was actually applying the brakes, so I went with shorties so the brakes wouldn't be "self-activating".

The only time an SV650 hits 180mph is when you throw it off a cliff

Dude I got a turbo with 12/75 gearing. This is the most bad sv on the planet. Maybe we should make the 610 run so I can show you the power of my v-twin. Don't.hate.

My has a carbon fiber tank protector and a fender eliminator so it bring it! I did the 610 run in only 12 parsecs.
And my dad can kick your dad's ...

Busted. It's 75 up front and 12 in the rear (just how you like it).

I'll be there! Imma ride my GSXCB1300RR and teach you a lesson! It goes 185mph in 2nd gear!
Even Chuck Norris won't give it full throttle
