It's easy advice for the street wreck to "take it to the track". His video, despite whatever excuses get tossed out , clearly shows several novice errors.

Instead of provided specific advice for each issue he gets pointed to the track environment where he can get overall instruction and work from there with less chance of severly injuring himself or others.

For the track guys that wreck the advice depends on the wreck. Usually riders, instructors, CWs congregate and discuss the particulars of what happened and how. Constructive criticism is given and everybody learns something. Most track enthusiests are very eager to understand why they went down to minimize the chances of repeating history.

Three years is not a while...and quoting him, he's done the Forest 6 times...in three years?? Doesn't sound like enough (to me)...he's only done 1 track day...that ishardly enough, again going by his profile... I've done 3 td's and I still have tons to learn (though I understand somepick up fasterthan others)

Hardly sounds like a lot of experience if you break it down...

They. Mostly say it when it's in a turn and as a result of riding too fast for skill level. There are plenty of riders that go down based on other factors...in this one though, he was too hot in a turn, lost site of where he needed to go and over corrected...typical mistakes that the track shows you how to control...

As far as going down at the track...I feel is more the comfort some riders have that they are in a control environment and they push their limits, sometimes they push too much...some, it might be ego...

Either way, they are in a closed course with everyone going the same way and no objects that could come at them if the go too wide or go down...

So where is your argument with that last comment/question??

Take it to the track...

And Chris, I know you this post is mostly now just seeing what forstkiller has to say, not really about you...

Take it the track means something entirely different to me.

It means take your testosterone, aggression, ego, adrenaline, and pumped up machine and put them on hold. Get schooled by guys who really know how to ride. Anyone who pushes themselves on the street, and then takes it to the track, will realize just how poor their skills are and how slow they have been riding on the street. But more important, by coming to grips with the limits of themselves and their machines, they typically re-enter the public streets with a calmer approach. Some cases, not, but in many cases, going to the track gives them a new respect for the laws of physics.

Having Sunny, Brandon, Gonzo, Tony all pass you like you're sitting still will definitely put a few things into perspective.

Yee ha. Go guy go. Wreck it up right. Do it again. Wait...what am I applauding him for? I'm just glad he isn't hurt and he takes something away from the experience.
