For shoulders, Dr Bruce Moseley is easily considered the best in the Houston area by his fellow peers as well as patients.

Whatever you do... stay away from Dr Gregory Harvey.

I had my shoulder work done by Dr. J Michael Bennett at Fondren Orthopedic in Sugar Land. Since you're in Katy, pick someone near you.

Moseley is doing my knee on Sept. 9th. He just repaired all kinds of in Beans shoulder a week ago Friday. He's out of Med Ctr and Willowbrook Methodist.

http://www.methodisthealth.com/basic.cfm?id=40281

Glad he was close to me...when looking through my list of providers I was overwhelmed with the # of ortho surgeons in our area. I would think there has to be a "good" doc on every side of town with the 300+ I saw in my network alone. Just do your research, ask lots of questions....it's your turn to interview them.

Bruce Moseley did my dislocated shoulder and this thing isn't coming out ever again....I've tried it. Having the surgery was the best decision I may have ever made.

He looked at my separated shoulder on the opposite side and said if I could live with the discomfort and the deformity that there's no need for invasive surgery. 5 years later, there is the discomfort, but no pain, and very ugly deformity still.

He also did a friend of my family's knee.

I think James is also his name...

went to the ER, nothing broken and not out of socket but recommended I go to a ortho cuz I might have torn something. I can move it more then I could saturday since I couldnt even sign my name at the hospital, I can move it now from my elow dwon but any movement having to use my shoulder it hurts like a mutfuker!!

Melhoff is the . He reattatched a grade 1 tendon (the worst place for a cut) in my index finger 10 years ago. 100% recovered. 100% ROM. 100% EVERYTHING.

I wish I was still in Houston. Dr Jennifer Lord is my hand surgeon right now. I actually had a thumb surgery this morning to repair a spliced tendon. This is spliced tendon #7 for me. None have recovered like my index done by Dr Melhoff. He is THE for hands. I'm sticking with Moesely for the shoulders.

Keep me away from sharp things.
