When I first read this, my mind nearly revolted at the hideous images it conjured. However, my worst fears were merely a google search away from being realized.

How could I not. It is an internet truth that the more horrible something is, the more people are compelled to look it up.

A helmet limits vision???? And a 60mph wind in the eyes doesn't?

My point to the person mocking V-twin riders who have bandanas hanging out of their pockets is that those bandanas mean something to some people, even if he doesn't know what it is. I'm not really surprised, as he isn't part of that culture. But others will certainly know what it means.

Doesn't have anything to do with safety, so your response to me doesn't really make any sense to me. Of course a bandana doesn't help in a wreck.

Well tell us what it means. Dont just hint at it like its some super duper mystery club secret. I know lots of secret handshakes.

Depends on the type/color of the bandana and who's flying it, where they're flying it. Don't really want to go into specifics, but if you join a 3 patch MC, your mentors will go over it with you.

Look, I'm not going to start going into specifics publicly about other clubs and what they do. That's kind of foolish.

Dress for the style not for the crash. Pfft any badass can tell you that.
BB you forgot a few things,

1. Bandana/do-rag (because when your head is harder than concrete you don't need no stinkin' helmet
2. Big bushy beard or goatee for high speed blowing in the wind factor (weeeeeeeeee!)
3. Wife beater (because you don't want to have to tell her twice)
3a. Cut off Def Lepard/Van Halen/your favorite Harley shop t-shirt
4. Cheesy, poorly done tats
5.Chain-drive wallet
6. Extended highway pegs for that loungin' on the recliner look
7. Leather vest with club patch, eagle or Harley logo embroidered on the back
8. Flip-flops are acceptable, if boots are unavailable.

No reason to get mad Bro, its the internet and I thinkn most people on this forum respect each other as fellow riders. Just because we poke fun at each other and may not agree with each others personal decisions, doesnt mean we dont respect each other. I think the main reason we get a bit touchy about people not wearing gear and acting foolish is because we all realize the dangers we face and its never funny to hear about someone going down and not getting up because they werent wearing gear. Just the same way I bust my bro's about not wearing a lid or jacket, I bust other people's as well. Nobody wants to see someone get injured or killed, especially when it could have been prevented.

Not trying to be preachy, just dont want anyone to mistake my ways as being disrepectful or just me being a .
