I had full coverage and they cover......
gear, helmet, gloves, pants, boots, bike parts and performance.. exhaust, power commander, levers, ANYTHING you have done to the bike and ANYTHING you were wearing at the time of the accident.

THEY WILL NEED COPY OF YOUR PURCHASE.

You're not neccessarily screwed... get pics of the items you were wearing and the damage sustained. Figure out purchase cost, I looked on the net....averaged the price for each item, then prorated it.. it: helmet was 1.5 year old. Cost divided by 5, etc. Cost to repair jacket, replace my jeans....

Probably depends on insurance company. I got state farm and they usually don't ask for receipts on certain things. They look up prices themselves thinking they can find lower prices than I paid.

I would guess that this falls under the Accessorizes category on your insurance?
(Ex: +3000$ in add-ons)

I believe that If they cover your helmet, they should definitely cover the rest of your gear. Tell Geico that the cost your gear is a lot cheaper versus a hospital bill.

When I was in a wreck my insurance co told me to go get a price list from the local shop and they reimbursed me the price of new gear

Shouldn't your agent be able to answer this or at least find out and call back?
