Glad you're ok, ATGATT ftw! I'd bet enterprise has some form of insurance because it is required for vehicles on the road and enterprise doesn't check the renter's insurance.

If he used his VISA credit card to rent the car, then he has insurance. Don't risk it go to the ER, even if you feel better with the knee.

1. When you rent a car, the rental company always tries to sell you insurance. If you chose not to buy their coverage it's noted on the contract and the driver or his own insurance company is liable for the car.
2. If I rent a car and decide to plow over a bunch of kids in a school zone crosswalk, do you really think the rental company could be held liable for my actions?

I bet the company would take the initial hit through their insurance, but the rental contract would allow them to come after you for the costs.

Edit: Most states treat insurance as a condition for using the roads, so it would be odd to allow rental car companies to put uninsured people on the road simply because they don't check on the renter's insurance.
