Probaly did a 21 point inspection, and inflated the tires for you at no charge!

$25-$30 per wheel OFF THE BIKE is pretty normal. On the bike......I'd imagine $100-$125 would be normal. So it was high, but not outrageous.

It does pay to call the shop prior and get an estimate. Also they always charge more if you get the tires somewhere else. Good luck fighting it.

I think 2 Wheel Toyz will do it for $80 a set and they've had tire specials where mounting and balance is free if you buy the tires from them.

IMAG0431

79 per hr at 2.2 hrs. They had a $3 dollar recycling fee per tire on it and I had requested to keep the tires so that $6 came off.

FWIW i had my front done there in may. Same situation. Brought the bike and tire, they pulled and mounted. Total was $69. Bill had a 1 hr charge. I thought that was high, I know most all shops have a 1hr minimum and was thinkn this time would be more like 1 1/2 hrs at most with both being done.... I was wrong. Also I work 8-5 6 days a week so I'm limited to when and where I can haul my bike to and pickup.
