I've only ridden parallel and V twins so I can't speak regarding power delivery; however, I have heard a number of different engine types and V twins have the best sound by far. Parallel twins sound the worst, their note is best described as flatulent.

I do not see the option of "large inline 4 with turbo"...

I had 4 bikes, all 4 inline, so I was pretty familiar with that kind of engine.

Then I bought the Buell and that lovely Rotax v twin has loads of character and nice power delivery, not to mention the torque.

I think that when I get the money to get the race ecm and an exhaust can, it will be pretty much perfect, at least for me.

I'm surprised more people haven't picked inline triple. They are pretty stirring when opened up.

To me the high-rpm scream of an I4 is what a sportbike is supposed to sound like. V-twin on a sportbike just doesn't seem right... I really like Ducati's but just can't bring myself to buy a bike that sounds like I'm farting down the road.
