Anyone have a bluetooth Helmet?

Can you actually have a phone conversation while riding on the highway?

Thinking about picking one up for trips to Austin, and while I know its probably not the safest thing in the world - just wondering about wind noise and what not.

Thanks

I have a Bluetooth headset with mic; haven't tried the phone yet but it works fine for MP3 and GPS.

I've talked to others that use them for rider to rider comms without issue... just haven't done that with mine yet.

I was going to try my phone but its too old for my GPS to recognize.. LOL!!

i have one that i have for sale.

i've taken calls no problem, the module auto adjusts volume to the headset based on wind noise on the mic. sometimes this feature sucks, sometimes its awesome!
i also have it synced to my BB for tunes, that works great.

Anyways, CL link:

If you don't want to replace your helmet, try this or the Scalia

I have the J&M, and wear ear plugs. Linked to the Garmin for GPS and MP3 music and it works great. Should work for short distance bike to bike but haven't tested yet.

I've had phone calls while riding with my iphone. The earphones I use have all the controls on them. I had to pull over to hear anything tho. Its like the ignition system was cause major interfierence. The phone was in my pocket tho. Right next to the engine

I have the Scala Rider G4 and have used it a few times to make phone calls. The noise cancelling works great and at 80, er uh 65mph, the person can't even tell I'm riding. I've read where you can't hear with the Blinc helmet above 40 on a phone call, but I have no experience with it.

I have the Scala Rider Q2 and mostly use it for rider to rider communication. I have made and recieved a few calls with it and it works great! Person on the other end cant even tell im on the bike until the revs get a little higher. The only problem with it is if you want to listen to music with it the speakers arent great and kills the music. Just use some earbuds. I only put in one side of the earbuds and can still hear the conversation.
check the link its the cheapest i have found.

Thanks for the replies.

Thinking about getting that Oneal blue tooth, but no local shops have it.

Does cycle gear carry other Oneal helmets where I can try it on and find my size?

At freeway speeds, I have 50/50 luck on how the wind is blowing.. A helmet sock would probably fix that.. But there are a lot of times that people don't even realize I'm on my bike until they ask me to text them something or whatever and I state I can't because I'm on the bike..
