Tacky to want two bikes?

I told GAry my husband, when I was looking at this GSXR, that I planned to sell my TLR, but as time went on, I thought, be cool to have a track bike and street bike! Besides, my TLR is not worth a fortune~maybe 5k at best! But when I mentioned to him, he seemed to get a little 'concerned?' You said you were going to sell that bike! Well, I changed my MIND!

I was laying in bed last night, couldn't sleep, ever do that? And thinking what I could do with the money from the TLR is if were to sell it~
**I hate the actual wheels on this GSXR~ They're rough, not smooth, and very unflattering! OK shop for Marchesini wheels
** and of course the Paint job (just a matter of taking the plastic to the paint place (350.00) my labor is cheap!
**Finally, graphics to tie it all together from www.Fabritechdesigns.com
** I was also thinking about and probably going to do, is wrap my exhaust headers with wrap to reduce heat/thus decreasing header heat by the radiator, and maybe on HOT days may run a little cooler!

That would probably be enough to do to it for a while!

I guess I'll have it at the track and put a for sale sign on the Tiller, it will make someone a great bike! There's very little to do to it!
Just thinking outloud for now~ you guys/gals can relate, so you're my best friends when it comes to bikes!!:notworthy

Nothing wrong with having a fleet of bikes. . .I'm keeping three right now!!!
One of my favorite things to do is "tinker" with my bikes. It keeps me sane and sober in this gnarly world we live in. IMO, you should do what makes YOU happy, it always seems to work for me. just my 2 cents of course.

single sided swingarm

w/ the 1 arm, thats what it looks like, dunno it'd get in the way for working on the bike.

nothing wrong w/ 2 bikes if you can afford it. does he have any toys?

Oh, sorry, no, it's a regular swingarm. Someone makes the SSS for the Tiller, but most say the bike is not designed for it. But sure looks awesome on bikes! Seems like rear tire must floats back there!

bikes

I'm working 3 bikes as well, nothing wrong with that. Plus if you go down at the track you will still have your street ride and the same for the street bike. And if you have to put the street bike into the shop you won't miss any track time. There are soooo many advantages with multiple bikes unless money is a concern. I personely would not sell your track bike unless your giving up track rideing, Just my 02.

this is terrible, my husband just doesn't have any hobbies! he goes to the track with me, and loves that I love bikes; maybe turns him on some! We've been married two + years and things are great, but he just works all the time! I did buy two cheap chinese Street/trail bikes just for teaching purposes for my daughters, friends, anyone who wants to learn, but GAry scares the out of me when he's on a bike! He stops like Fred Fintstone!! "Use The BRAKES, not your feet!!"" LOL

Keep the Tiller. They are great bikes and perfect for street/weekend rides. I have put mine on the track but I am getting nervous about doing it. Parts are getting hard to find and expensive.

There is no reason you can't have more than one bike if you can afford it. I would love to have a track only bike and someday I will.

Don't get rid of your TL. If you do decide to sell it, they are worth more parted than running. lol

Get yourself two bikes.
One for street and one for the track.
I'm in the same boat as you, my wife has no hobbies either.
So I don't think she really understands the purpose of having a trackbike and a street bike.

I used to have two bikes, (read STOLEN: '04 GSX-R750...), and a '01-'03 GSX-R600 Race Only. My wife use to think that it was ridiculous to have two bikes, I won't miss her.

Most couples number one fight is over money/budget

Unless you are in a bind, I would keep them both. Bring your S/O over and I will introduce him to my other hobby, guns... then you both can spend some money!! LOL!!!
