Been done, and it's up to the riders to admit their own skill level.. some do, some don't... some think they are FAR better than they actually are and find out different in a ditch..

I don't know the cure.. wish I did.

I like that newrider!
as I introduced myself, I crashed my 650R "red and black, special edition" 5 years ago, and it cost me time, money, (and a lot of convincing) for me to get back on a bike..

I don't lean my bike, some people don't have the money comfort to just go and get a new one off the dealer

reinforcing the riders that "ride around you" is the best solution to it all, put your crew in the same skill level, and the pack will shine down the forest alley !
I'd like to be part of that kinda pack

The actual cure is to slow down on roads you don't know... or slow down period.

Other REALLY sad thing is the vast majority of these backroad offs are a result of "failure to lean".. not being able to turn the bike

Problem is, unless you go out to group rides, you don't meet too many people to ride with.. you have to be able to sit back and figure out which ones you trust to ride with and then hook up with those guys/gals.

if i go on a group ride, i'd like to ride with safe people, even if they can do wheelies all the way to 170mph, I don't wanna get home worried about the guy that went down
or the guy that got pulled over and got a ticket, or went to jail..
The crash had nothing to do with skill he started to black out as he was entering the turn.

IMO, Lucar hit the nail on the head. People need to accept the fact that we aren't a forum full of Rossi's and Hayden's.

Dropping back >>>>> wreck

I was out riding Allen Pkwy with a buddy, him on his RC51 and I was on the EX500. All I can say is, his RC51 looks/sounds good from the back and we both got home safe

Did they all black out from a health / dehydration issue?

I'm always interested to hear what CAUSES these mishaps so we don't repeat what happened.

True but most of the time it's on some "curvy" road.. that's what I see. Not many crashes I see if we riding to get something to eat, paying attention, and not acting a fool

Just talking about chris I don't know any details on the others. I've been on a couple of rides through the forest never had any issues guess I'm lucky.

What got hurt besides hand?

I will say, you must be part Gumby, that was a pretty tough crash for you to just hop up like that.

I was guy on 14 Saturday BTW.

Dito.... riding to the store doesn't get the heart pumping. A bike was made for going fast. Straightline, hairpins, or which ever way possible. Rider's own descrestion about safety.

And on another note about chris... I was a couple car lengths behind him. Simply put, he was going too fast, most likely didn't see the road sign for the turn, and didn't brake. Knowing the road helps, but if you don't know too well, there's road signs.
